What an exciting time for Heffner Racing! Winning the Keystone Cup in only its second full season as a team!

Huge thanks go out to driver Daryn Pittman, crew members Jimmy Pasquariello, Brandon Weibley, Randy Bailie, Tommy Pasquariello, Brett Hockenberry and Jimmy Johnson.

Special thanks to partners Lelands.com, Pasquariello’s Auto Shop, Scrub-A-Dub Performance Car Wash, Rider Racing Engines, Weld Racing Wheels, Michael Graphics, RE Racing Technologies, Ben Cook Racing Supply, R&D Custom Projects.

Daryn Pittman will be officially announced the 2010 Keystone Cup Series Champion on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Williams Grove Speedway, prior to the start of that evening’s 410 sprint car racing program.

During the quest for the 2010 Keystone Cup Series Championship, Pittman and team owner Heffner Racing achieved a number of record-breaking stats and career firsts:

  • Only team and only individual driver to win 3 races in a single Keystone Cup series
  • Tied the record for the total number of Keystone Cup Series races won (4 races)
  • New track record at Hagerstown Speedway (30-lap time of 9:01.25)
  • First Keystone Cup Series championship for Pittman and Heffner Racing
  • First Keystone Cup Series race win for Heffner Racing
  • First Lincoln Speedway win for Pittman and Heffner Racing
  • First Selinsgrove Speedway win for Pittman and Heffner Racing
  • First Hagerstown Speedway win for Heffner Racing

Pittman joined the Heffner Racing team to pilot the # 27, replacing Tyler Walker, who signed on to drive the # 17 car vacated by Pittman. Pittman’s first win for the Heffner Racing team—the Keystone Cup race at Hagerstown—came after only his fourth time in the car.

The former World of Outlaws competitor went on to win two more consecutive Keystone Cup races--Lincoln and Selinsgrove Speedways, in addition to Hagerstown--securing the Series championship. Pittman also finished 5th at Grandview and 2nd at Port Royal, earning 785 points, second only to Stevie Smith’s 2009 score.

Pittman will return to the Heffner Racing sprinter June 11, 12, 13 for the series of All Star races at Williams Grove, Lincoln, and Big Diamond. This weekend, June 3-5, Pittman will be behind the wheel of the Tom Buch-owned #13 car for the World of Outlaw shows in Knoxville, IA.
